Juicing for health

Are you considering getting yourself a juicer? We bought one this week and I'm so excited about it! Probably the best investment this year. It does take space in the kitchen and it is a bit clumsy to get clean but that's totally worth it. Juicing is easy and fun! A lot of juicer recipes and information on juicing I found here.



Detox day number one was yesterday:
  • breakfast: fresh juice made of beets, celery stalks, apples, and carrot
  • lunch: avocado soup
  • dinner: frittata made of egg whites, broccoli and lightly smoked pork loin, asparagus on the side
  • snack#1: carrot, apple and celery juice
  • snack#2: avocado soup 

 Well yes, I admit that I had a little bit of the avocado mousse I made yesterday :) I hope it didn't make so much damage but I'll have to watch out for such temptations. I'm trying to enjoy my detox, looking at the bright side of all the health benefits I'll probably experience later on. I'm lucky that I'm staying at home for one more week, I can imagine that detoxing while working must be quite a hard work.
I did have a minor headache yesterday but other than that I did not experience anything unpleasant. Craving for sugar was not that bad as I was expecting, the juiced apples and carrots helped to prevent it maybe?


These pictures I have taken today, my morning juice consisted of beets, carrots, celery stalks, lemon and ginger. A real vitamine boost!

  2. Ano Ajka, dlhsie som po nom pokukovala, ale az tato precistovacka sa mi zdala ako dost dobry dovod na kupu :) dakujem ti, posnazim sa :) krasny vikend Andrejka!

  3. jeej,Evinka,po zavitani na tvoj blog sa vzdy citim zdravsia aspon o 20%..tak je to tu vsetko cerstvucke,zelene,plne vitaminov,ze mam pocit,ze ten detox je normalne mnam,a keby mi ho niekto takto krasne pripravil,tak detoxujem aj hned teraaaz:)))a gratulujem k novej kuchynskej masinke:))))

  4. Matka moja si mila :) veru, detox moze byt aj prijemny, no skoda, ze zo zelenych a cervenych dzusov sa clovek moc nenaje..prave som dojedla pohanku, to veru ziadna chutova zalezitost nie je :)

  5. jaaaaaaaj ja som na diétke, ale taká detoxikácia by sa zisla, len ja by som to asi nevydrzala :((

  6. Slavi a na akej dietke si? aj detoxikacia je vlastne dieta, lebo sa musi vylucit cukor, biela muka, tuky, mliecne vyrobky..jem najma zeleninu a ovocie a strukoviny, spaldu a pohanku no aj chude masko.. ty mas co za dietku? drzim palceky!

Evička veľmi ťa obdivujem:) detox ani diétku by som nevydržala, skúšala som to viackrát, ale na mňa platí hlavne jesť normálne na raňajky a obed, veľa ovocia a zeleniny počas dňa a maličké porcie večer. Vtedy sa cítim veľmi dobre a zdravšie. No a samozrejme nejaký šport, masáže a sauna...Ale takéto čerstvé šťavičky mám moc rada, len nemám ten odšťavovač...Mám len na citrusy, a ten plne využívam na grepy a pomaranče - výborná vzpruha najmä ráno...Tak Evík drž sa a hlavne veľa zdravíčka!!!

Evulicek, dakujem za podporu! tak ako pises by som si to predstavovala aj ja, len po 30tke to uz nejde tak lahucko ako by som si zelala.. taketo precistenie teraz robim druhykrat v zivote, po tom prvom som sa citila senzacne dost dlho takze to ma motivuje..ale zase nejdem uplne do kolien, sem tam zhresim samozrejme :)
